An elementary school in Metairie, LA is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) to support students during the 2025-2026 school year, including the extended school year program. This position involves providing direct speech therapy services to elementary-aged students, conducting thorough assessments and evaluations, documenting progress, and collaborating on Individualized Education Program (IEP) development. You will also attend IEP meetings to ensure comprehensive support tailored to each student’s needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized speech therapy services in accordance with students goals
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify communication needs
  • Prepare detailed progress reports and contribute to IEP formulations
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals during IEP meetings
  • Support extended school year programming as required

Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Possession of a valid Louisiana Speech Language Pathologist License (SLP-CCC)
  • Experience or interest in pediatrics and school-based therapy
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively manage caseloads and documentation
