Woodston Personnel is currently seeking a highly qualified Consultant in Pediatric Surgery to join our esteemed client’s healthcare institution in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will possess a strong commitment to excellence in pediatric surgical care and will play a vital role in the management of a diverse range of surgical conditions affecting infants, children, and adolescents. The Consultant will be responsible for providing comprehensive surgical services, including pre-operative assessment, intra-operative procedures, and post-operative care. This position demands a collaborative approach within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring optimal patient outcomes while adhering to the highest standards of clinical practice. Key Responsibilities: Perform a wide range of pediatric surgical procedures, including but not limited to abdominal surgery, thoracic surgery, and minimally invasive techniques. Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-ups, ensuring continuity of care. Collaborate closely with pediatricians, anesthesiologists, nursing staff, and other specialists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Provide mentorship and support to junior surgical staff and fellows, fostering an environment of learning and professional development. Participate in the development and implementation of clinical protocols and guidelines aimed at improving surgical outcomes. Engage in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to ongoing research projects. Maintain comprehensive and accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements. Educate patients and their families regarding surgical procedures, risks, and post-operative care strategies. Participate in departmental meetings, case reviews, and educational seminars to stay current with advancements in pediatric surgery. MBBS or equivalent medical qualification US Board/ FRCS - Irish, UK, Canadian, New Zealand or Australian/ Diploma d'Etudes Specialises (DES)/ CIS French Board/ Fachart & Sub- Board/ Fellowship / Board / Fellowship / Sweden / Belgium / Finland / Spain Must have at least 3-5 years of post-consultant or senior specialist experience Eligible for consultant licensure with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
