Description Nashua, NH Greater Nashua Mental Health is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team. This role supports clients in their recovery by building trusting relationships, providing mentorship, and helping clients advocate for themselves using lived experience. The Peer Support Specialist also serves as a bridge between clients and the clinical team, helping both sides understand treatment, wellness, and recovery needs Key Responsibilities • Work within a multidisciplinary team to support client growth and recovery • Provide one-on-one direct client services for at least 50% of work time (approx. 20 hours per week) • Develop, maintain, and co-facilitate Peer Support Recovery Groups and support other clinical team groups as needed • Assist with crisis planning, natural supports, community engagement, and integration activities • Connect clients to community resources, social activities, and recovery-oriented programs • Provide advocacy and feedback between clients, community partners, and the clinical team • Utilize recovery tools such as IPS, WRAP, and WHAM • Maintain complete and timely documentation in compliance with HIPAA • Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned Qualifications • High School Diploma or GED required • 1–2 years of related experience • Ability to work with diverse populations • Knowledge of substance abuse services • Ability to build trust and strong, supportive relationships • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with deadlines • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and use sound judgment • Must complete documentation and paperwork in a timely manner • Knowledge of Peer Support Models and recovery tools • Valid driver’s license and automobile with required insurance Why Join Us We offer a collaborative and mission-driven environment, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes: • Two health plan options • HRA, HSA, FSA • Dental & vision coverage • Life, AD&D, short/long-term disability • Accident & critical illness insurance • 403(b) with (up to) a 5% match • Generous earned time off + extended sick time • 10 paid holidays • Tuition reimbursement • Eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness & NH State Loan Repayment Salary Range: $19.35/hour - $26.60/hour Greater Nashua Mental Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
