POSITION OVERVIEW As a Peer Support Specialist, you will provide mentorship and support to individuals receiving treatment for substance use and mental health challenges. Your lived experience and recovery journey will serve as a foundation to empower and guide others in developing healthy coping strategies, building resilience, and achieving personal goals. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Offer peer-based support to clients in individual and group settings * Use lived experience to build trust and inspire hope in recovery * Help clients navigate community resources and develop life skills * Collaborate with clinicians, case managers, and other team members * Assist clients in setting and achieving personal recovery goals * Promote self-advocacy and empower clients to take charge of their wellness * Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions QUALIFICATIONS * Must have lived experience with substance use recovery * Ability to share your recovery journey in a professional and supportive way * Strong communication, active listening, and problem-solving skills * Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team * Driver's License * High school diploma or GED * Peer Support Certification (or willingness to obtain) * Must be able to pass a background check and meet state/federal requirements WHAT WE OFFER ✔ Competitive Pay ✔ Supportive, mission-driven work environment ✔ Opportunities for training and professional development ✔ Temporary staff housing available ✔ The chance to make a real impact in the lives of others Join us in making a difference!
