Are you a qualified Fire Suppression Technician or interested in working within the fire industry as a new starter? About the Role - (multiple opportunities)
Working in the CQ Coalfields region - based in Moranbah, Emerald or Blackwater you will be responsible for servicing and maintenance of a variety of fire protection systems and equipment delivering excellence in customer service.
We are seeking motivated individuals who are already in the in the fire protection industry or have a trade background / mechanical aptitude and are keen to gain new skills and qualifications. Chubb provides in house training with nationally recognised qualifications.

To be successful

You will have proven experience in a similar role, and this will include.

  • Direct knowledge and exposure to fire suppression systems (desirable but not critical) as VOC and RTO training will be available in house.
  • Installation and service experience of Mobile Fire Suppression systems (a distinct advantage)
  • Effectively manage available time and resources and be proactive in problem solving and troubleshooting.
  • Achieve full compliance to service delivery and procedural requirements, including quality, EH&S, Ethics and Trade practices.
  • Survey customer machines and recommend fire protection and safety systems and equipment.
  • Identify, service, and repair fire protection and safety systems and equipment in accordance with guidelines.
  • Report work progress and performance by completing productivity and key performance indicator reports

About You

  • The capacity to work on a 7 on / 7 off day roster or rotating day and night shifts or a 4 on 3 off roster.
  • Up to date product and industry knowledge, and an understanding of where to locate the relevant information
  • A solid knowledge of AS5062 Australian Standard (Not a requirement for new starters)
  • Professional experience or qualifications specified by any applicable local classification structure
  • A technical or engineering competency with the ability to complete identified company, industry and occupational training and accreditation
  • Mechanical experience will be highly regarded
  • Certificate II in Fire Protection / QBCC Licence advantageous
  • Current Driver’s license
