PEI IMMIGRATION PARTNERSHIP PROJECT CO-ORDINATOR (TERM ROLE)

Full-Time Term Position through March 31, 2027*
Salary: $23.14 per hour to start, 30 hours per week
Charlottetown, PE
*Renewable April 1st each year subject to program funding

Immigrant & Refugee Services Association PEI (IRSA), a not-for-profit organization originally founded in 1993, is seeking a PEI Immigration Partnership Project Co-Ordinator (Term Role) to join us on our mission of building a welcoming and inclusive environment through bringing diverse communities together and empowering newcomers to build a future in PEI.
We help all newly landed immigrants and newcomers to Canada through providing vital support in the areas of short-term settlement services, long-term inclusion and community integration programs in the province of Prince Edward Island.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Partnership Development:

  • Continue to grow and support PEI’s immigration partnership network, which includes immigrant serving organizations, immigrant advisors, subject experts, and stakeholders.
  • Make connections and referrals within the network, when there are overlapping priorities.
  • Engage partners in collaboration opportunities for continuous improvements in the settlement and integration outcomes of newcomers in PEI.

Working Groups, PIP Council & Immigrant Advisory Table:

  • Leads collaborative working groups, for the purpose of information, coordination, and building responses to strategic priorities that meet PIP’s contract and mandate.

Event Planning:

  • Assist in organizing the annual forum and other events that fit within the action plan, are needed for working groups, or are needed to strengthen the partnership network.
  • Oversee assigned events, from Eventbrite advertisements, to promoting the event, to encouraging participation of key partners, to event planning details, to sending reminders leading up to the event.
  • Develop agendas, find speakers, and organize event details.
  • Supports partners with their respective events, when their activities align with PIP’s action plan.

Research & Analysis:

  • Support research, analysis, consultations, and information sharing to support partners and organizations across the immigration support network for mutual benefit and growth.
  • Assess needs of communities and newcomer populations and prepare reports to increase awareness of emerging trends with immigrant communities.

Communications:

  • Regularly share information through social media, working groups, email, and consultations.
  • Reshare content and relevant information from the immigration partnership network, to create a one-stop-shop of highlights from the network, that relate to topics of interest and what may be relevant and of interest to immigrant communities.

Strategic Planning:

  • Support strategic planning sessions and action plan development.
  • Support the work of creating action plans for PIP that are developed through research, analysis, and consultations; ensure work is guided by the action plan.

Atlantic & National Support:

  • Lend support to local, Atlantic, and national efforts to build on IRCC’s Local Immigration Partnership goals.
  • Maintain up to date documentation & partner contact information, including contributing to monthly reports, an annual report, meeting minutes, event summaries, etc.
  • Evaluates service program delivery and provides regular reporting for funding partners as instructed.
