Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Pellet Plant Supervisor assists in managing the day-to-day operations of the Pellet Plant. · Assist in overseeing all phases of processing, packaging, sanitation and maintenance management within the facility. · Trains, leads, motivates, and supervises Pellet Plant personnel. · Enforce safety policies and procedures. · Address problems with work quality, issues with employees and other concerns in an effective, timely manner. · Maintain open lines of communication between employees and management. · Understands and collaborates with management in supporting the plant goals to include; production efficiency, staffing and safety. · Reviews and critiques proposed changes to standards, policies, or processing details. · Ensures positive recognition is occurring for good performance. · Performs other related duties as directed. Requirements Experience, Education, and Licensure/Certification Requirements: · Experience leading teams in a manufacturing or similar environment. · Experience in managing schedules, workflow, safety personnel and equipment. · Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license required. Required Skills/Abilities: · Individual must be able to work cohesively as part of a team. · Must maintain a good attitude and be professional daily. · Must be self-motivated and detail oriented. · Able to demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. · Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. · Must be able to read and follow written and verbal instructions. · Must be willing to work in manufacturing, multi-shift environment. · Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments. Physical Requirements: · Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. · Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. · Ability to perform repetitive and physical demanding tasks for extended periods (lifting, walking, working at heights, climbing, pushing, pulling, twisting and stooping). · Must be able to work in a fast paced, loud, and labor-intensive environment in variable temperatures (from outdoor heat to indoor refrigerated coolers). · Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
