JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physiotherapist to join our healthcare team at Prairie Surgical. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and rehabilitation, demonstrating proficiency in various physiotherapy techniques and therapies. The Physiotherapist will be responsible for developing individualized care plans, conducting assessments, and implementing treatment strategies to enhance patient recovery and mobility.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Successful completion of a Bachelor or Masters Degree in Physiotherapy
  • Current CPM registration
  • An experienced Pelvic Health Physiotherapist (2 years preferable) with exposure to private practice or a postgraduate qualification in Pelvic Health or Women’s Health
  • Proven capability in managing pelvic health conditions, including prolapse, pelvic floor dysfunction, incontinence, pelvic pain, and pregnancy / post partum care.
  • The ability to have fun & be a part of a close-knit team
  • Must be able to demonstrate a caring, confident and professional manner, including professional correspondence and record-keeping.
  • A solid commitment to growing your clinical skills and knowledge

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their physical abilities and limitations.
  • Develop and implement personalized physiotherapy treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
  • Utilize various therapeutic techniques including trigger point therapy, orthopedics, and acute care interventions.
  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding care plans, exercises, and rehabilitation processes.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning and follow-up care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions using EMR systems.
  • Stay updated on the latest physiotherapy practices and advancements in medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy knowledge.
