Description:

We are seeking a Pension Administrator to join our McAteer team in Markham.
The Pension Administrator provides administrative services to Pension Plans in such a way as to enable the smooth operation and administration of the plans.

The Pension Administrator will:

  • Work on both DB and DC clients
  • Perform pension calculations i.e. Terminations, Retirements, Deaths, Marriage Breakdowns
  • Receive and respond to plan enquiries and requests from clients received via telephone, mail, email, and other means.
  • Apply and interpret pension benefit calculations in accordance with routine plan provisions and legislative requirements.
  • Provide reports for agents upon request.
  • Update system records as required.
  • Reconcile pension payments.
  • Have knowledge of how pension statements, tax receipts are generated.
  • Reconcile plan memberships.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by their manager.

To be successful as a Pension Administrator with the McAteer Group of Companies, you will need:

  • College Diploma/University Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting
  • Familiarity with components of pension
  • Familiarity with actuarial terms and exercises such as valuation report data preparation and reconciliations
  • Knowledge of employee benefits and pension legislation
  • RPA, CEBS, or PPAC
  • Strong Excel knowledge

All-star candidates will have:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in pension administration
  • Pension, benefits, or financial services industry knowledge and experience
