PENSION AND BENEFITS ADMINISTRATOR

Reporting to the Manager, Payroll, Pension and Benefits the Pension and Benefit Administrator plays a pivotal role in the Human Resources department, acting as the subject matter expert for all pension and benefit-related matters at Niagara Parks. This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, compliance, and administration of both defined benefit pension plans and group benefits, with a strong focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and exceptional customer service. The incumbent will also support the ongoing development and implementation of procedures that enhance the effectiveness of benefit delivery and align with organizational objectives.
Niagara Parks offers an annual salary range of $63,727.53 to $76,136.23 for this position as well as comprehensive benefits and a defined benefit pension plan.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of post-secondary education specializing in Human Resources and or equivalent experience.
  • Certified Employee Benefit Specialist designation (CEBS), and/or Certified Human Resources Professional or Leader (CHRP/CHRL), considered an asset.
  • Minimum 3-5 years progressive experience in benefits administration with a requirement to have administered defined pension plans, ideally within a public sector and/or unionized environment.
  • A demonstrated ability to interpret and apply related legislation, plan documents, and collective agreements is essential.
  • Experience in developing or working within databases and strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail is required.
