Pension Requirements Analyst
Do you have a background in pension administration and an ability to summarize (and sometimes challenge) complex procedures? Are you looking to work on long-term projects for leading Canadian plans? Aon has the opportunity you have been waiting for!
Aon is looking for a Pension Requirements Analyst (consultant level) for our solutions team within pension administration. The team works closely with clients and internal teams to develop solutions and document requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced colleague looking to work on ambitious projects rather than ongoing operations.
This can be a hybrid or virtual role occasional visits to our Montreal or Toronto offices, as well as Canadian clients.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. This role is not eligible for sponsorship, and we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa or work permit.

What the day will look like
The Pension Requirements Analyst works closely with clients and internal teams:
Identifies, defines and reviews client requirements, including numbered examples, for integration into Aon’s exclusive administration solutions
Conducts a gap analysis between client requirements and available solutions
Lead client requirements meetings
Understand administrative procedures and processes, adjust them and even challenge them, collaborating with the client.
Develops and updates applicable requirements documents, including plan provisions (SPP), data, web self-service functionality, personal communication for members (PCS) and reports.
Provides subject matter expertise to clients and internal teams in the area of pension plans, pension administration, operation processes and administration platforms
Reviews the test plan to ensure all requirements are covered and the test plan is thorough
Ensures proactive follow-up of requirements documentation, and manages client and internal expectations until final approval, in consideration of the project plan.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
The Requirements Analyst is an extremely detailed self-starter, can self-manage their workload and projects, and adapt to the audience and evolving priorities.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, or equivalent work experience in an analytical area
5 years + of pension administration work experience.
Laws and best practice expertise on defined benefits pension plans
Bilingualism (English and French), desired
Analytical skills and problem resolution in a collaborative env ironment involving multiple stakeholders
Experience with system implementations, desired
