Coordinates with the CalSTRS Legal Office, Audits Division, Information Technology Services, Accounting, Benefits & Services Branch and the County and District Offices of Education to ensure that the members and their beneficiaries receive accurate benefits.
The Assistant Director is involved in policy revisions and recommendations, which have statewide impact, as well as modifications to the statewide employer reporting structure. In addition, the position is required to review legislation, system changes and internal controls that may result in actions that significantly impact more than 800,000+ members and benefit recipients, and over 1,600 statewide employers that submit over 12 million lines of annual data.
