This is a hybrid role that requires working from the office two days per week. Job Description As a Pensions Systems Analyst, you’ll play a key role in configuring and supporting pension software solutions for both internal and external clients. You’ll combine analytical expertise with a deep understanding of pension schemes to deliver accurate, efficient, and future-ready solutions. What you’ll do Analyse and interpret pension requirements — from initial user outlines to detailed feasibility studies. Define the scope of work for pension analysis tasks and provide accurate effort estimates to Project Managers. Design, develop, and maintain pension scheme calculations across a variety of products. Analyse client pension scheme data to define data cleansing and migration requirements, including data mapping. Configure, test, implement, and maintain pension-related components across the company’s software suite. Continuously build your professional, technical, and commercial expertise to drive delivery excellence. Requirements Analysis Conduct analysis for new pension projects and enhancements to existing solutions. Assess the impact of client scheme changes on existing system configurations. Collaborate with clients to define calculation processes using internal tools and methodologies. Prepare detailed data migration and cleansing specifications to support project delivery. Qualifications What you’ll bring Skills & Knowledge Experience in administering Defined Benefit (DB) and/or Defined Contribution (DC) pension schemes. Solid understanding of UK pensions legislation; partial or full Actuarial qualification is an advantage. Ability to perform scheme calculations manually, supported by analytical tools. Strong technical aptitude with an interest in software development. Familiarity with Pencalc, Workbench, and related data modelling/migration tools. Working knowledge of SQL or Oracle databases is preferred. Qualifications & Experience Relevant certifications in pensions or actuarial disciplines (e.g. Pensions Management Institute) are desirable. UML, ISTQB/ISEB, or OMG certifications are a plus. Previous experience in the pensions industry, ideally as a Scheme Administrator or Business Analyst on pension IT projects. Proven ability to translate business requirements into system configurations. Commercial awareness and a focus on operational efficiency and value creation.
