Description

LCP is an award-winning actuarial and analytics consultancy providing advice on pensions, insurance, investments, energy, employee benefits and health. We fuse human expertise with powerful analytics to shape a more positive future for our clients and people.
The Opportunity: Dive into the world of LCP, where your journey in actuarial consulting isn’t just about crunching numbers, instead striking an exciting balance between technical work and consulting. You will learn how we use data and complex models to explore vast financial landscapes, how we advise industry giants, and make a tangible difference to the lives of millions of pension scheme members.

The Role: As a Summer Intern you will be involved with:

  • Analysing data and performing calculations both at individual member and scheme level
  • Using LCP in-house software to model pension scheme cashflows and produce analysis for client reports
  • Preparing figures and analysing the impact of pension schemes on balance sheets of UK and international companies
  • Working with senior actuaries to set key assumptions to value liabilities
  • Contributing to letters and reports for clients
  • Learning about pension risk transfer and post-transaction projects
  • Researching and presenting a technical topic to LCP peers
