Job Title: Pentaho Interface Developer
Location: State of West Virginia / Charleston, WV / On-Site
Department: Technical Team of the West Virginia Enterprise Resource Planning Board

JOB SUMMARY:

The State of West Virginia is seeking an Interface Developer to design, develop and maintain data integration solutions using the Pentaho Data Integration (PDI) platform, including interfaces, API’s and SQL queries. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in system integration within enterprise environments, particularly experience working with federal/state governments in support of the state’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution and associated operations.
The ideal candidate will also have strong communication and analytical skills, an understanding of state government functions such as financial reporting, human resources, payroll, benefits administration, budgeting, and procurement, and experience in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or 3-5 years equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience with Pentaho Data Integration or an equivalent integration platform
• Familiarity with Operating Systems/environments (i.e., Shell Scripting, PowerShell, Python)
• Proficiency in SQL and database technologies (i.e., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server)
• Basic knowledge of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous Pentaho experience (minimal 1-2 Years)
• Familiarity with other Integration tools
• Experience with Java programming and JavaScript
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Shell Python) is a plus
