An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Chief Operating Officer with overall responsibility for Canolfan, the first phase of Carmarthenshire County Council’s flagship Pentre Awel development.
Canolfan at Pentre Awel is a premier wellness and business hub within a new, mixed-use development located on the stunning coastline at the heart of the Millennium Coastal Park, adjacent to the expansive beaches of Llanelli. The 83-acre site is designed to provide a wide range of community and commercial services, focusing on leisure, health and wellness.
Scheduled to open this Summer, Canolfan will house a leisure centre, with swimming pools, gym, sports facilities, hydrotherapy pool, and events spaces. The site will also house various local community services. It will serve as a base for public, private and third sector organisations including Hywel Dda University Health Board, Swansea University, and other further and higher education partners. The ground floor café invites visitors and tenants into the vibrant heart of the building, and there is on-site secure parking.
There will be flexible workspaces to let, offering high speed WiFi, meeting rooms and 24-hour access, all integrated around lush green parkland. More information can be found at the following website Pentre Awel .
The Chief Operating Officer will be responsible not only for the effective running of the site, but also ensure that the ambitions of Canolfan are achieved by making the most of the opportunities for tenants and prospective tenants to work together. You will play a key role in attracting tenants to want to be part of Canolfan and all of the opportunities it brings. We are looking for an inspirational leader, who can bring others with them on our journey. You will possess sound financial management skills and the commercial acumen required to make Canolfan a success, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Above all, you will need energy, enthusiasm, commitment and confidence to develop Canolfan going forward.
For an informal discussion, please contact Alex Williams, Head of Health-Related Capital Projects, on 07812 474340.
