About the role We’re looking for a People Advisor to join us on a maternity cover contract and provide hands-on people support during an exciting period of growth. This role is a key part of our People function and will focus on delivering an excellent employee experience across the full lifecycle. You’ll work closely with the People Partner and wider leadership team, acting as a first point of contact for employees and managers, and ensuring our people processes run smoothly across the UK and internationally. This role is ideal for someone who is confident stepping into an established environment, enjoys operational delivery, and can quickly build trusted relationships. What you'll be doing Employee Experience & Advisory Act as the first point of contact for employee queries, providing timely, thoughtful, and pragmatic advice Support managers with day-to-day people matters, escalating more complex cases to the People Partner as needed Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive employee experience Onboarding, Offboarding & People Operations Coordinate end-to-end onboarding and offboarding to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience Maintain accurate employee records and documentation using our HRIS Support payroll inputs, benefits administration, and contract changes in collaboration with internal and external partners Learning, Development & Performance Support Coordinate learning and development initiatives, including managing our L&D platform and annual development budgets Support performance review cycles and career framework processes Assist with the administration of development plans and learning activities Managers, Engagement & Culture Partner with managers across teams to support engagement, development, and team effectiveness Champion diversity, inclusion, and belonging across the organisation Support employee engagement initiatives, surveys, and follow-up actions Projects & Continuous Improvement Contribute to people projects that support scale, consistency, and continuous improvement Help document and improve people processes to ensure clear handovers and sustainability What you’ll bring Previous experience in a People Advisor, HR Administrator, or People Operations role, ideally within a scale-up or fast-paced environment Confidence managing employee queries and people processes independently Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities Excellent communication skills with an empathetic, people-first approach Comfortable using HR systems and digital tools Able to hit the ground running and work effectively in a fixed-term/contract role What we offer in return 💰 Competitive salary of £35,000-£40,000 depending on experience 🏝️ 27 days of annual leave (including 3 days Christmas closing) which increases up to 3 days based on tenure, with the option to roll over, buy or sell up to 3 days 🏡 Hybrid working from our dog-friendly Hoxton office 💪 On-site gym and cycle to work scheme 🛍️ Employee discount at over 100 retailers 🏥 Comprehensive private medical & dental cover with Vitality 🍼 Enhanced parental leave pay 📚 Learning & development culture – £1,000 personal annual budget 🌍 We’re carbon-neutral and are working towards ambitious carbon reduction goals 🎯 Lots of team socials & activities ☀️ Annual team retreat Want to learn more? This is a full-time position, with standard working hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Interview Process While the exact process may vary slightly depending on the role, our typical interview stages are: Introductory Call – A short Teams conversation with a Talent Partner to discuss your background and the opportunity. Hiring Manager Interview – A 30–45 minute Teams meeting to explore your experience and fit for the team. Technical Task or Presentation – A role-relevant exercise to demonstrate your skills and approach. Final On-site Interview – An in-person meeting with our senior leadership team and co-founders at our office. We strive to make the process clear, efficient, and respectful of your time.
