About the role:
The People & Culture (P&C) Advisor is a newly established role within our experienced and collaborative P&C team, with two vacancies available.
Reporting to the Senior P&C Business Partners, the primary responsibility is to build trusted, client-focused relationships with managers by providing expert guidance on a range of HR matters and managing less complex HR cases. This role involves close collaboration with the broader P&C team and other internal stakeholders.
Success in this position requires a strong service delivery focus, a proactive mindset, and a solid understanding of employee relations.
Key activities include:
- Responding to daily inquiries from managers and employees on the interpretation of industrial instruments in relation to specific positions or departments
- Assisting with enterprise agreement negotiations
- Providing coaching and direct support to managers on employee relations, change management, performance issues, absence management, and workplace complaints
- Contributing to projects and initiatives, including employee reward and recognition, employee engagement, learning and development, and wellbeing
About you:
This role is ideal for an experienced HR Advisor looking to expand their expertise within a large, dynamic organisation, or a HR coordinator seeking the next step in their professional development. You will bring resilience, enthusiasm, and professionalism to your work.
In addition, you will have:
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field
- A strong understanding of HR best practices, with the ability to ensure compliance, offer practical solutions, and advise managers and employees across a wide range of HR matters
- Ability to analyse HR metrics and leverage data-driven insights for advising and coaching
- Sensitivity to diverse workplace cultures and a commitment to promoting inclusivity
- Capacity to develop and maintain trusted, productive business relationships
- Professional written and verbal communication skills, with the discretion to manage sensitive or confidential matters
- Well-developed coaching, problem-solving, and business administration skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems (experience with Workday is advantageous but not essential)
