Position Overview :The People and Culture Manager is a pivotal leadership role responsible for cultivating a positive and engaging workplace culture across our three hotels. This role oversees all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, onboarding, training, employee relations, performance management, and compliance, while championing our values and daily consistent actions. The People and Culture Manager will ensure our team members feel valued, empowered, and inspired to deliver exceptional guest experiences. This role requires regular travel to all three properties, with each hotel being visited every two weeks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, preferably in hospitality or tourism.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain a positive workplace culture aligned with organizational values.
  • Strong knowledge of Alberta and British Columbia employment laws and regulations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on active listening and empathy.
  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment, training, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and safety compliance.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive in winter conditions to visit all three properties (distances of 120 km and 320 km from the central hotel).
  • Comfortable traveling biweekly to each hotel, with flexibility to manage a schedule that ensures consistent presence across all locations.

  • Foster a workplace culture that emphasizes caring, accountability, and joy, encouraging employees to create memorable moments for each other and guests.
  • Lead by example, modeling behaviors such as active listening, collaborative problem-solving, and celebrating small wins to reinforce a positive environment.
