About the Role

 The People & Culture Officer plays an important role in supporting the People, Culture & Safety team across a broad range of generalist HR activities. This includes assisting with recruitment, training and development, employee engagement initiatives, workplace investigations, and day-to-day HR operations. The role is ideal for someone who is passionate about people, eager to learn, and motivated to help shape a positive workplace culture.


What You’ll Do 

  • Provide generalist HR support and advice to leaders and employees across the business.
  • Assist with recruitment processes, including job ads, resume screening and onboarding.
  • Support employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.
  • Coordinate training and development activities, including external providers.
  • Assist with contracts, variations, performance management, and workplace investigations.
  • Contribute to HR documentation, policies, and procedures.
  • Support migration/visa processes in collaboration with external providers.
  • Partner with the Marketing Specialist to support internal communication and events.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, databases, and the joint People, Culture & Safety inbox.
  • Assist with general HR administration, reporting, and ad hoc projects.


What We’re Looking For 

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree/tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Human Resources.
  • Solid knowledge of performance management, recruitment, and employment practices.
  • Understanding of the Fair Work Act, NES, and modern awards.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive matters professionally.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with a proactive approach. 

Desirable: 

  • Experience in manufacturing/engineering.
  • Knowledge of ELMO or other HRIS systems.
  • Understanding of visa/immigration processes.
