Join DOC’s People & Culture Support Hub and play a key part in supporting the people who protect Aotearoa’s natural and cultural heritage every day. As a People & Culture Support Coordinator, you’ll be a first point of contact for People & Culture enquiries, providing timely, practical support to DOC employees and people leaders. Working within a collaborative Hub model, you’ll manage enquiries end-to-end through case management, guide people through self-service tools and standard processes, and process a range of transactional HR activities. You’ll use sound judgement to resolve issues, escalate where needed, and help deliver a positive customer experience. The position will be focused on: Managing P&C enquiries end-to-end (logging, prioritising, responding, and closing cases) Providing frontline HR operational support and processing worker changes (e.g., secondments, changes to working arrangements, documentation and system updates) Supporting employees and people leaders to use self-service tools and follow standard P&C processes (e.g., leave, staff movements) Being part of the People & Culture phoneline roster, responding to calls, resolving straightforward enquiries, and triaging/escalating more complex matters Working closely with colleagues across P&C and DOC to resolve issues and keep things moving Click here for the Role Description Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience You’re great with people, confident juggling multiple tasks, and you enjoy varied work in a fast-paced support environment. You’re careful with details, communicate clearly, and take pride in being reliable and responsive. You bring: Experience with HR systems and/or case management tools (e.g., Workday, JadeStar, ServiceNow or similar) Strong written and verbal communication, with a customer-first mindset Great organisation skills and attention to detail Sound judgement, including knowing when to escalate sensitive or complex matters A strong commitment to confidentiality, privacy, and responsible handling of people data An understanding of DOC’s Treaty Partnership and the ability to incorporate tikanga and te reo Māori in your work Desirable: Experience in HR operations/shared services or recruitment support Knowledge of employment agreements and relevant employment legislation Mō te tīma | About the team The People and Culture Directorate supports DOC to build and be a great organisation.
