About the role In this role you will support driving positive workplace outcomes as a key advisor on people and employee relations matters. You’ll guide leaders and employees through performance, conduct, and workplace matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant solutions that help teams thrive. Making a real impact on the way our workplace operates and grows. You’ll provide practical support for organisational programs that drive culture, employee engagement, and change, partnering with Senior People Partners and the Senior Employee Relations Advisor. By delivering responsive, professional advice, you’ll help foster positive workplace relationships, promote fair and consistent people practices, and contribute to a respectful, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture. Key responsibilities include: * Provide first-line advice and support to leaders and employees on a wide range of people and employee relations matters, including performance, conduct, workplace concerns, and policy application. * Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, communicating information and updates clearly, concisely, and professionally. * Support innovation and best-practice approaches within the department to enhance outcomes for employees, customers, and the community. * Provide operational support and advice on change initiatives, including restructures, position descriptions, and role alignment. * Assist with case management activities, such as performance management, grievance handling, investigations, and disciplinary matters. * Provide guidance on the application of Enterprise Agreements, relevant legislation, and City policies. * Prepare accurate and compliant documentation and correspondence related to people matters and organisational change initiatives. About you To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant qualification in human resources management / industrial relations or similar field and or significant professional experience in human resources management / industrial relations or similar field in a comparable organisation.  Essential Experience: * Some professional experience in human resources management / industrial relations or similar field. * Demonstrated people skills to support, influence, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders. * Good problem solving and stakeholder management skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders to achieve task outcomes. * Developed writing and speaking skills to align with stakeholders and achieve support for task outcomes. * Well-developed planning and time management ability. * Demonstrated ability to work independently or in a team environment as required by the task.
