POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
People & Values are at the heart of all Riverside Natural Foods’ daily operations when it comes to their employees and their success. The People & Values (P&V) team are both strategic and operational partners that co-pilot the business through developing and implementing people strategies to increase employee engagement and organizational capability.
Riverside Natural Foods, Ltd. is currently seeking a new People & Values Coordinator to join their People & Values team, supporting our Plant Operations at our 2720 Steeles Avenue West location.
The successful candidate would help assist the People & Values Manager in aligning processes and policies surrounding hiring practices, internal movements, engagement initiatives, training, and employee relations for their designated client group, along with general administration support.
On a day-to day basis, the People & Values Coordinator will be accountable for the following;
ONBOARDING & NEW HIRE EXPERIENCE
- Act as the first point of contact during the employee onboarding experience, including facilitating new hire orientations, and creating new hire welcome packages
- Liaising with payroll to ensure all new hire information is provided for system setup, including employee files creation and collection of new hire documents
- Aligning with IT as well as our Corporate Receptionist to ensure timely delivery of IT hardware and equipment for remote employees
- Update the new hire orientation package and presentation as changes are required based on company updates on procedures and policies
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-3 years’ experience in an HR capacity in an HR Administrator or Coordinator role
- Previous experience in the industry of Manufacturing or Plant Operations would be an asset
- Completed University or College Diploma/Certificate in Human Resources Management
- Relevant and related fields may also be considered
- System savvy and very comfortable with using Microsoft Office tools
