Description

The People Business Partner is accountable and responsible for driving the people/HR agenda in the region and overseeing office team. You will be guiding local teams and providing sound advice and guidance to solve daily HR-related matters. Our People Business Partner will be responsible for championing our global and local processes, ensuring any local HR topics are managed in a timely and professional manner.

  • Work closely with People Director to implement HR strategies that foster a high-performance, engaged workforce
  • Manage the full employee life cycle, including onboarding, development, engagement, retention, and offboarding
  • Assist with local recruitment and onboarding processes to attract and retain top talent
  • Collaborate with payroll provider and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
  • Drive performance management, recognition, and reward programs that support business goals and individual growth
  • Support organisational change and transformation initiatives, including people development and career progression frameworks
  • Act as a strategic advisor to business stakeholders, understanding workforce needs and aligning people solutions accordingly
  • Develop and implement local HR initiatives together with assistance of the office admin team that align with broader Group objectives and enhance employee experience
  • Partner with senior management and Group HR to co-create and roll out innovative people strategies
  • Ensure compliance with German labour laws and regulations while maintaining confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive matters
  • Champion company values, leading efforts to strengthen culture and support organisational transformation through effective change management
  • Stay current with global HR best practices and ensure alignment with Group policy where local labour laws allow
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities, drive process improvements and automation for increased efficiency
  • Oversee local office management to ensure smooth daily operations

REQUIREMENTS

  • +5 years of experience in an HR generalist role
  • Previous experience within a tech environment, start-up, rapidly-scaling business and/or in a matrix organisational structure would be a distinct advantage
  • Proven track record operating in a busy HR / People function across multiple areas of HR (i.e. Employee relations, Engagement, L&D, Talent Acquisition etc.)
  • Good experience in Recruitment as well as familiarity with local and international job boards
  • Experience with a variety of office software (email tools, presentation slides, spreadsheets and databases)
  • Knowledge of HR policies and local German employee laws
  • Knowledge of HRIS, databases, and management systems
  • Must be fluent in German and English
