Responsibilities

THE ROLE

The People & Culture Administrator supports all College employees by offering guidance and contributing to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of People & Culture (P&C) processes. This role assists the P&C team in delivering support across various functions, including employee and industrial relations (ER/IR), recruitment, work health and safety (WH&S), workers’ compensation, and learning and development (L&D).
The position provides administrative support to the P&C team and collaborates with the College’s payroll department on P&C matters and management reporting.
This is a fixed term contract role starting in September and for a 12 month period.

KEY DUTIES:

  • Provide People & Culture (P&C) advice on employment conditions, entitlements, policies, procedures, legislation, NES, and modern awards.
  • Manage contracts, personnel files, HR records, and employee information.
  • Monitor and respond to queries in P&C and Recruitment inboxes, escalating complex matters as needed.
  • Support end-to-end recruitment (advertising, shortlisting, interview preparations, request references, record management and candidate communication).
  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding, including contracts, agreements, and correspondence.
  • Coordinate and deliver RACP induction programs.
  • Organise training (invites, venues, materials, catering, equipment).
  • Plan organisation-wide events for key dates (i.e. Reconciliation Action Week, NAIDOC).
  • Produce monthly employment statistics reports.
  • Maintain employee records in the HRIS (Elmo).
  • Collaborate with the P&C team to meet goals, deadlines, and project needs.

To be successful in the role you will have a qualification in Human Resources and proven experience in a similar role. You will also posses:

  • Approachability and strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to develop strong trusting relationships
