We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused HR professional with at least 3 years' HR Advisory experience to join our People & Culture team to partner with leaders to drive culture, engagement and performance.
Reporting to the Senior People & Culture Manager, you will provide strategic HR support across a designated stakeholder group, delivering a broad range of people and culture services. In addition, you will support workplace injury management, Return to Work coordination, and WorkCover claims administration, ensuring compliant and employee-focused outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide advice to managers and staff on the interpretation of legislation, Award and policies, e.g. NES, Health Professionals and Support Services Award, leave entitlements, exits and terminations, OHS and more.
- Partner and coach managers to address employee relations issues including performance, conduct and workplace concerns.
- Guide employees and managers through HR processes and procedures.
- Support the delivery of strategic HR initiatives such as workforce planning, change management, engagement surveys, leadership and staff professional development.
- Coordinate operational activities such as project support, onboarding and exit interviews, and responding to queries in the shared inbox.
- Prepare reporting and insights to support decision making.
- Manage workplace injuries and incidents including Return to Work coordination and WorkCover claims
- Assisting with psychological safety concerns, including work-related stress claims.
- Addressing workplace hazards and risk management issues.
- Supporting compliance with WHS legislation, policies, and procedures
About you:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a HR Advisor role
- Demonstrated Return to Work Coordination and WorkCover experience
- Return to Work Coordinator course completion is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation, awards and HR policies
- Experience managing complex employee relations matters
- Proven ability to provide employee relations advice and deliver people solutions
- Excellent stakeholder management, relationship building and communication skill
- Demonstrate flexibility and initiative with the ability to think ‘outside the square’
- Strong organisational, administrative and reporting capabilities
- Proactive, adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail with a focus on achieving positive outcomes
