Senior HR Officer | Immediate Start | 2 Month Temporary Assignment About the Company:

This organisation operates within the essential services sector, supporting large-scale operations across a highly regulated and fast-paced environment. The business plays an important role in delivering community and operational support services across Australia and is recognised for its professional, collaborative, and people-focused culture. 

About the Role:

An opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior HR Officer to join a collaborative HR team on an initial 2 month temporary assignment, commencing immediately.

This role will provide hands-on HR support across employee relations, investigations, workplace advice, and leader coaching within a fast-paced operational environment. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing complex people matters while providing practical and commercially focused HR guidance to stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice and guidance regarding Award and Enterprise Agreement interpretation
  • Manage complex employee relations matters including excessive absenteeism, performance management, disciplinary processes, and conduct-related issues
  • Coach and support leaders across all aspects of Human Resources management and best practice
  • Provide accurate and compliant HR advice in line with employment legislation and organisational policies
  • Support workplace health and safety initiatives including risk assessments and development of action plans
  • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders across a diverse operational workforce

About You:

  • Previous experience in a Senior HR Officer, HR Advisor, or similar Human Resources role
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Awards, and Enterprise Agreements
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex employee relations matters and workplace investigations
  • Confident stakeholder management and leadership coaching skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism and sound judgement
  • Exposure to OH&S practices including workplace risk assessments and safety action planning will be highly regarded
