About Us

Careva is the administrative arm of Care Business Group, which has championed choice and control for people with disability since 2016. Through our various NDIS-registered companies, we now support over 2,000 participants nationally.

Careva's purpose is to champion choice and control for both NDIS participants and providers. Our mission is to build enduring relationships across all stakeholder groups.

The Role

We are seeking a P&C Business Partner who thrives on variety and loves growth: onboarding new staff one day, untangling an ER issue the next, organising the next Town Hall the day after. You'll be the go-to voice for practical, no-fluff people advice, and dive deep into business as usual in a very dynamic environment.

A key part of this role is owning the contractor experience end to end. You'll be the main point of contact for contractors from induction through to ongoing engagement, building genuine relationships and fostering a real sense of community across a growing and dispersed contractor workforce.

We're also leaning hard into AI, using it to speed up reporting and cut the admin grind, so you can spend more time on the parts of this job that need a human: judgement, coaching and real conversations.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with leaders across all CBG brands on people and guidance
  • Own employee relations end to end: investigations, grievances, PIPs
  • Run performance management
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and remuneration
  • Induct and onboard contractors, acting as their primary relationship contact throughout their engagement
  • Build and nurture a contractor community, driving ongoing engagement and connection beyond the initial onboarding period
  • Manage workers comp, return-to-work, WHS and psychosocial safety
  • Use Employment Hero, PayCat and AI tools to turn data into decisions
  • Deliver engagement surveys and keep policies sharp and compliant

What You'll Bring

  • 3+ years as a P&C/HR Business Partner
  • Strong employment law knowledge and sound judgement
  • Experience managing contractor or contingent workforce relationships is highly regarded
  • Comfort with Employment Hero, Kadence and at the very least, a genuine interest in using AI to work smarter. Expertise with Claude a plus
  • Working rights in Australia, and a National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain both)

Why You'll Love It

Make a difference in the lives of those living with disability; dynamic organisation on a strong growth trajectory; Employee Share Option Plan, plus performance bonuses; WFH potential post 6-months; a birthday gift card, discounts across petrol, retail and health care, and an EAP with genuine support if required.

If you want your P&C skills to count for something real, in a sector that matters, we'd love to hear from you.

Employer questions

Your application will include the following questions:

  • What is your expected annual salary (AUD)?
  • Do you currently hold a valid NDIS Worker Screening Check, or are you willing to obtain one?
  • What is your current working rights status in Australia?
  • Do you currently hold a valid National Police Check, or are you willing to obtain one as a condition of employment?
  • Are you available to work a part-time schedule of 15 hours per week, preferably across Monday to Wednesday?
