POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a key member of the People and Culture team, the People & Culture Coordinator plays an essential role in supporting core HR functions across recruitment, employee support, data management, and HR systems. This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of day-to-day HR operations, maintaining accurate employee records, and contributing to a positive employee experience.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources
  • Minimum 1 years of experience in an HR or People and Culture support role
  • Working knowledge of HR practices, employment legislation and the various aspects of the employee life cycle
  • Plant and/or manufacturing experience is an asset
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with keen attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software/HRIS systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Forms is an asset
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a team-oriented approach

Responsibilities
  • Support recruitment activities, including job postings, coordinating interviews, reference checks, employment letters, and candidate communication
  • Provide general HR administration, support ensuring HR file system is maintained, and employee data is kept up to date in HRIS
  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide general HR support
  • Maintain organizational charts, Head Count, HR forms & job descriptions.
  • Support employee Orientation and other training programs for employees.
  • Have knowledge of current legislation, including ESA & other legislated compliance
  • Participate in delivery/maintenance of key HR initiatives/projects as assigned
  • Work efficiently in an open team structure and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Other responsibilities as needed
