Company Description Cooinda Lodge Kakadu is a unique resort nestled in the heart of Kakadu National Park, Northern Territory, Australia. Under a Accor's Hotel Management Agreement in partnership with the Djigardaba Enterprise Aboriginal Corporation, it offers guests a gateway to explore the UNESCO World Heritage-listed park. The lodge provides a variety of accommodations, including lodge rooms, eco-tents, and camping sites, along with amenities such as two swimming pools, restaurants, bars, a general store, and access to Yellow Water Cruises and the Warradjan Cultural Centre. Cooinda Lodge is proudly committed to Indigenous employment, with 25% of our team Bining, working on country. As part of our ongoing support into Indigenous employment and development, we collaborate with the Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation through the Real Jobs Program. The lodge operates on a seasonal rhythm, with around 50 team members during the wet season and over 110 during the dry season. This is a full-time, onsite position within Kakadu National Park, with accommodation and meals provided as part of the employment package. You must have the legal right to work in Australia to be considered for this role. Job Description Lead recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and staff accommodation management. Manage payroll, benefits, and compliance with HR policies, EBAs, and Australian employment law. Manage monthly T&C reports Facilitate performance management, coaching, conflict resolution, and employee relations. Organize team events, training, and engagement initiatives to build a positive culture. Promote Indigenous employment and development Implement WHS policies and manage workplace injuries and claims Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve departmental efficiency. This list is not exhaustive, and other duties may be required to support the success of the hotel and its teams. Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years in a similar HR, People & Culture, or Talent Management role preferably in hospitality Knowledge with employment laws, HR policies, and Enterprise Bargaining Agreements, with the ability to read, understand, and interpret them correctly. Solid understanding of payroll, performance management, conflict management, and staff engagement with the capacity to analyze payslips and HR data to support decision-making. Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, adapt to changing demands, and consistently maintain confidentiality. Passion for building a supportive, high-performing workplace culture.
