Description The People & Culture Intern will participate in a structured educational internship designed to provide exposure to human resources practices within a hospitality organization. This internship is intended to complement the intern’s academic coursework and must be completed for academic credit through an accredited college or university. This experience is educational in nature and will focus on observation, guided learning, research, and project-based assignments. The intern will not replace or displace paid employees and will not be responsible for performing essential operational duties. This is an unpaid internship and is designed to provide meaningful learning opportunities aligned with academic objectives. Educational Objectives By the end of the internship, the intern will: Understand the employee lifecycle within a hospitality organization Gain exposure to recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, and HR operations Observe how HR policies and compliance requirements are applied in practice Develop professional communication and project research skills Complete a capstone project related to a People & Culture initiative Internship Structure Duration: 8–12 weeks Schedule will accommodate academic commitments Academic credit required and documentation must be provided No guarantee or expectation of future employment Learning Activities Observation & Shadowing Shadow members of the People & Culture team in meetings and operational discussions Observe recruiting coordination and onboarding processes Attend team meetings to understand cross-functional collaboration Research & Projects Conduct research on HR best practices within hospitality Assist in developing recommendations for employee engagement initiatives Support development of training or onboarding materials (non-essential support) Complete a final presentation summarizing learning outcomes Professional Development Participate in feedback sessions with a designated mentor Receive coaching on HR career paths and professional growth Reflect on learning progress throughout the internship Qualifications Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university Pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Hospitality, or related field Must receive academic credit for internship Strong interest in pursuing a career in HR or People Operations Professional communication skills and strong curiosity Compliance Statement This unpaid internship is structured to meet educational objectives and is intended primarily for the benefit of the intern. Participation is voluntary and for academic credit only. There is no expectation of compensation or employment at the conclusion of the internship.
