Responsibilities

As a People & Culture Local Services consultant you will act as a Functional Specialists providing unique country expertise to deliver best in class experiences across the employee lifecycle while at the same time driving operational excellence to ensure compliance
This position mainly centers on Canadian onboarding and offboarding processes including severance packages, but is not limited to these areas. It also involves providing backup support for Canadian benefits during vacation periods, times of high demand, and circumstances requiring provincial-specific expertise
This role will also be responsible for conducting “P&C Lounge” sessions, both onsite and virtually. Our “P&C Lounge” is a new channel for all employees, addressing the need for more personalized and localized HR support for sensitive, complex or non-standard P&C related topics.
While the primary focus of this role is on Canadian Work Events, you will also be supplementary support for similar processes in the US.
PCLS combines operational and consultative support, managing a wide array of processes, with the role potentially evolving over time.

Design / Administer HR Services:

- Implement and manage HR programs, policies, and practices using both global models and local on-site support.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of HR service areas to address employee inquiries effectively.
- Ensure detailed record-keeping of HR activities and maintain high-quality HR data within various systems

Employee Lifecycle Support:
-
- Evaluate and validate local HR policy compliance for various functions.
- Deliver a wide array of processes in-country processes including Onboarding, Contractual Changes, End of Employment, and P&C lounge.
- Provide 1:1 consultancy on local HR policies, acting as a second-level case manager for policy queries.
- Manage non-digital employee files and documentation as per legal requirements

Organizational and Operational Support:

- Support SAP’s business development activities like restructurings and location consolidations.
- Play a key role in M&A projects, facilitating post-merger integratio

Process Improvement and Innovation:

- Monitor SLAs and KPIs, using feedback to enhance service efficiency and processes.
- Lead / Support roll-outs of new processes and tools, coordinating with IT on updates and training.
- Proactively and consistently raise process improvement opportunities from the local view

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

- Act as a liaison between local and global HR service teams.
- Support partnerships with HR Directors, People Relations, Total Rewards, and external vendors
