The People & Culture Manager will lead all Human Resources functions for the property, serving as a strategic partner to leadership and a champion for employee engagement. This role will utilize Paylocity to manage HR operations including payroll, onboarding, and compliance. Key Responsibilities Lead full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations and performance management Administer payroll, benefits, and HRIS through Paylocity Ensure compliance with all federal, New York State, and local labor laws Drive employee engagement, culture-building, and recognition programs Maintain accurate HR records and reporting Partner with StepStone Hospitality leadership on workforce planning Support training, development, and succession planning efforts Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field 3–5+ years of HR experience, ideally within hospitality or lifestyle brands Proficiency in HRIS systems (Paylocity preferred) Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion Preferred Skills Experience working in boutique or independent hotel environments Strong coaching, conflict resolution, and leadership development skills High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting EEOC: StepStone Hospitality is an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
