Job Description Department: People Operations Purpose of the Position: The People Data Analyst is responsible for the administration, maintenance, reporting, and optimization of the organization’s Human Resources Information Systems. This role supports HR operations by ensuring data integrity, system efficiency, reporting accuracy, and actionable workforce insights. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, advanced reporting capabilities, and hands-on experience with Power BI to develop dashboards and analytics that support strategic decision-making. Job Responsibilities: HRIS Administration & Support Maintain and support HRIS platforms, ensuring system functionality and data integrity. Configure system workflows, business processes, security roles, and user access. Troubleshoot system issues and partner with IT or vendors to resolve technical concerns. Coordinate system upgrades, testing, and enhancements. Data Management & Integrity Audit and maintain employee data to ensure accuracy and compliance. Develop and implement data validation processes. Support data governance and security protocols. Predictive Modeling & Data Science Build statistical models to forecast hiring needs, retention risk, promotion pipelines, and workforce costs. Apply machine learning and predictive analytics to identify trends and workforce risks. Perform advanced statistical analyses, including regression, clustering, and correlation studies, to inform HR strategies. Reporting & Analytics (Power BI Focus) Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI. Develop workforce analytics including headcount, turnover, compensation, and diversity metrics. Create automated reporting solutions and data models. Translate HR data into meaningful insights for leadership. Partner with Finance and HR leadership to support workforce planning initiatives. Data Management & Governance Partner with HRIS and IT teams to ensure data integrity and security. Develop and maintain HR data pipelines and structured datasets for analysis. Define and implement data quality standards, validation checks, and governance practices. Strategic Partnership & Insights Collaborate with HR, Finance, and business leaders to align analytics with organizational goals. Provide insights to support workforce planning, talent acquisition, diversity and inclusion, and performance management initiatives. Translate complex data analyses into actionable recommendations for decision-making. Process Improvement & Automation Identify opportunities to automate HR reporting and analytics processes. Design scalable data solutions to improve HR operational efficiency Qualifications Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Required: 5-7 years of HRIS experience. Strong proficiency in Power BI (dashboard creation, DAX, data modeling). Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas). Experience working with HR systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, SAP SuccessFactors, or similar). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and data accuracy.
