Description:

The Role
An exceptional opportunity exists for an experienced People and Development Consultant to join the Clayton Utz Brisbane office on a 12 month fixed term contract. Reporting to the People and Development Manager, this role will provide trusted HR advice to our partners, managers and employees in the Brisbane office. This role will be responsible for driving the delivery of effective people strategies, people initiatives and operations across the partner and employee life-cycle, in alignment with the Firm’s people strategy. As one of two consultants in the Brisbane People and Development team, this is a significant and influential role within our Brisbane office.
The People and Development team
With a presence in each of our offices, the national People and Development department forms part the Firm’s Business Advisory Services. The People and Development team provides strategic business partnering support to the business on HR matters, with a focus on designing, driving and delivering a range of initiatives to ensure that Clayton Utz is a great place to work.

Responsibilities:

Employee relations and policy
Remuneration and benefits
Change management
Performance and talent management
Learning and organisational development
Recruitment and workforce planning
Culture and engagement
Project work associated with Firm strategy
Coaching and mentoring
Diversity championing including LGBTI and diversity awareness
Mental health awareness
Skills & Experience
Significant relevant HR generalist experience in a similar business partnering role in a complex, professional and highly client focused environment
Strong problem solving skills and ability to influence decisions and outcomes
Proven abilities in developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders
The ability to drive projects and initiatives through to completion
Experience working within the legal profession or in professional services (advantageous although not essential)
