OVERVIEW

We’re looking to recruit an experienced People Director to join our team to provide maternity cover for 12 months, starting in mid-October, this is a part time role equivalent to 3 or 4 days, with flexibility on how this time is split.

  • You must have extensive HR experience, operating as part of the Senior Leadership Team, developing and delivering people strategy.
  • Employee relations experience is key to this role, and you must have up to date employment law and process knowledge. Including knowledge on upcoming changes under the Employment Rights Bill 2025.
  • Previous experience working with a flexible workforce is strongly beneficial for this position as we have a team of casual telephone interviewers that fluctuates in size over the year.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for someone with a passion for people and great workplaces to lead our People function, working with the business to achieve our objectives and help drive the business forward in our continued bid to be the best place to work.
This is an adaptable role in a people-first organisation. You’ll work across the business with a variety of stakeholders advising and delivering on a number of ongoing projects, delivering and enhancing our people strategy, supporting with; talent, employee engagement, employee relations and overseeing our office and facilities function.
Our people team consists of our Senior People Advisor, Talent Acquisition Partner, People Assistant and People and Office Executive. You’ll lead and support this team in their roles, providing guidance and direction, as well as monitoring performance and workloads.
Our offices are in central London and we’re looking for somebody who can work under our hybrid model with a couple of days in the office each week (we’re also fine with individuals that would like to be in the office more regularly than that!).

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the People Strategy, working to achieve key objectives.
  • Lead the People team, promoting effective and efficient delivery and development across the team.
  • Be a key point of support and escalation for employee relations cases, working closely with our Senior People Advisor.
  • Support our Talent Acquisition Partner with guidance, feedback and discussion on recruitment activity.
  • Oversee our continuous company-wide development/ appraisal process.
  • Oversee the running of our annual engagement calendar and run regular engagement check ins providing reports to shareholders and feeding back to management where appropriate.
  • Facilitate various employee feedback channels, including our bi-annual engagement survey, IFF Voice forum, pulse surveys and individual engagement check ins.
  • Ensure we are delivering on our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion agenda, including annual pay gap reporting.
  • Ensure we are facilitating positive wellbeing at work in conjunction with the wellbeing committee.
  • Oversee our People & Office Executive to ensure smooth running of the office and day to day activities.
