An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced People Experience Manager to join a values-driven organisation and play a key role in shaping employee experience, organisational development and people strategy.

Reporting to the Executive Director of People and Corporate Services, you will lead a small team and oversee the delivery of people services across the employee lifecycle, while partnering with leaders to drive engagement, capability development and organisational effectiveness. This role combines strategic influence with hands-on leadership and offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful organisational change.

About the Role

As People Experience Manager, you will lead a team responsible for delivering high-quality people services including recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, learning and development, health and wellbeing, performance management and organisational development initiatives. You'll collaborate closely with senior leaders to implement people strategies that align with business objectives and foster a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of people and culture services across the employee lifecycle.
• Provide expert advice and coaching to leaders on employee relations, performance management and workplace matters.
• Oversee recruitment activities and ensure best-practice hiring processes.
• Develop and implement learning and development initiatives that support organisational capability and a culture of continuous learning.
• Drive organisational development projects, employee engagement initiatives and culture programs.
• Lead remuneration review activities and workforce reporting requirements.
• Oversee health, safety and wellbeing initiatives in partnership with specialist advisors.
• Develop and maintain HR policies, processes and systems to support compliance and operational excellence.
• Mentor, coach and develop a small people team while fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture. 

About You

You are a seasoned HR professional with broad generalist expertise and a strong track record partnering with leaders in complex organisations. You bring a balanced approach to strategic thinking and operational delivery, combined with excellent stakeholder management skills.

You will demonstrate:

• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline.
• Significant experience across employee relations, performance management, organisational development, recruitment and change initiatives.
• Strong leadership capability with experience leading and developing teams.
• The ability to influence, coach and partner effectively with senior stakeholders.
• Experience designing and delivering learning and development programs.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and relationship-building skills.
• Adaptability and resilience, with the ability to thrive in evolving environments.

Desirable Experience

• Professional HR accreditation.
• Job evaluation, remuneration benchmarking or workforce planning experience.
• Exposure to HRIS platforms and people systems.
• Experience in membership-based, professional services, education, healthcare or not-for-profit environments.
• Experience supporting engagement, leadership development or organisational effectiveness initiatives.
