JOB TITLE: People Generalist JOB SUMMARY: The People Generalist at Argano is an HR professional responsible for supporting HR initiatives and processes. This role involves collaborating with business units and other HR functions to deliver effective human resources solutions. They provide first-level support in response to more complex employee, supervisor and manager questions and resolve escalated questions from less experienced staff. The role of a people generalist involves dealing with diverse tasks related to human capital management including maintaining electronic employee files, immigration management, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, learning and development, disciplinaries and grievances, and offboarding. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide first-level support in response to more complex employee, supervisor, and manager questions. Provide support in various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations. Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture by organizing and implementing employee engagement initiatives, events, and programs. Assist employees with inquiries related to benefits and collaborate with benefits providers to ensure accurate and timely administration. Help implement and communicate HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic employee records and HR systems. Assist in questions on the performance appraisal process, providing guidance to employees and managers, and ensuring timely completion. Stay informed about changes in labor laws and regulations to ensure the organization's policies and practices are compliant. Minimum and/or Preferred Qualifications: EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field, expected. EXPERIENCE: 2-4 years of progressive HR experience. Solid understanding of HR policies, practices, and administrative guidelines Experience with HR software and analytics tools. SKILL REQUIREMENTS · Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Administrative Skills: Organizational skills for managing tasks, schedules, and documentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Problem Solving: Ability to identify and solve complex HR-related issues. Willingness to learn and adapt. Organization: Organizational skills to manage administrative records and data. Client Service Skills: Excellent client service skills, including ability to handle issues in a timely and professional manner. HR Compliance: Ability to ensure HR processes comply with legal requirements. Performance Management Skills: Providing guidance on performance improvement plans. Data Analysis: Ability to generate reports for HR analytics.
