Job Title: People Operations Analyst Location: India Workplace Type: Remote Job Summary The future is bright for the Porch Group, and we’d love for you to be a part of it as our People Operations Analyst The People Operations Analyst is a core member of the People Operations & Systems team responsible for delivering day-to-day HR operational support across the employee lifecycle. This role focuses on providing Tier 2/3 People Operations support through a ticketing system, maintaining accurate data in HR systems, supporting payroll and benefits operations, and partnering with U.S.-based stakeholders. The position requires working night shifts aligned with U.S. business hours. What You’ll Do As A People Operations Analyst Employee Lifecycle & HR Operations Process employee lifecycle transactions, including onboarding, offboarding, job changes, transfers, and leave events with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality. Maintain complete and accurate employee records and documentation in HR systems; perform regular audits to ensure data integrity. Generate recurring and ad-hoc People Operations reports to support business and compliance needs. Support & Ticket Management Serve as the first point of contact for employee and manager inquiries submitted through ServiceDesk or a similar ticketing system. Respond to and resolve People Operations tickets in a timely, professional, and customer-focused manner. Triage issues appropriately and escalate complex or sensitive matters to the appropriate People team partners. Monitor ticket queues during U.S. business hours and ensure adherence to service level expectations. Employee Support Provide operational and policy support to U.S. and India employees, ensuring accurate and timely resolution of inquiries. Partner with U.S.-based teams to resolve cross-border support needs. Maintain working knowledge of U.S. People Operations processes, timelines, and escalation paths. Payroll, Benefits & Compliance Support Provide backup and support to India payroll partner to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. Support benefits enrollment and respond to employee benefits inquiries. Ensure day-to-day People Operations activities comply with labor laws, statutory requirements, and company policies. Process Improvement & Documentation Identify opportunities to improve People Operations processes, service delivery, and system usage. Create, maintain, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), knowledge base articles, and process documentation. · Support testing and implementation of HR system enhancements and process changes, including user acceptance testing where applicable. What You Will Bring As A People Operations Analyst Bachelor's or master's degree in related field (or four years of equivalent work experience) Ability and willingness to work the night shift (U.S. daytime hours) on a recurring basis. Experience using a ticketing system such as ServiceDesk and responding to Tier 2 HR/People Operations inquiries. 2–4+ years of experience in People Operations, HR Shared Services, or HR Support. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies or data issues. Ability to protect confidential information and manage sensitive employee data responsibly. Nice To Have: Workday experience (HRIS transactions, reporting, audits). Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills. Experience partnering with payroll and benefits vendors. Exposure to compliance-related topics (India statutory requirements, audits, data governance). Proven experience working with US based business teams. Excellent written and communication skills in English language. This role requires full and ongoing overlap with Porch’s U.S. Central Time business hours (11:30 PM IST – 7:00 AM IST). A Night Shift Allowance is applicable for this position in line with company policy. Workspace: A quiet space to work, an internet connection of at least 30 Mbps download | 10 Mbps upload Operational & Technical Skills Strong working knowledge of People Operations processes and HR shared services environments. Experience working in a ticket-based support model, including intake, triage, and resolution of Tier 2/3 requests. Ability to quickly learn and navigate HR systems (Workday experience preferred). Proficiency with spreadsheets and data validation techniques. Customer Service & Communication Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and empathetically. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with experience supporting global or U.S.-based employees. Ability to explain policies and processes in a clear, accessible way. Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills High attention to detail and ability to identify data inconsistencies or process gaps. Sound judgment when handling sensitive employee issues and confidential information. Ability to prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume support environment. Work Style & Collaboration Ability and willingness to work night shifts aligned to U.S. business hours. Strong collaboration skills and comfort working across time zones and functions.
