Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE

As People Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence across the full employee lifecycle in Germany. You’ll be at the heart of ensuring a seamless and supportive experience for our team—from onboarding and payroll to compliance and employee support. You will be the go-to expert for data, reporting, and process optimization to deliver accurate payroll data, build scalable reporting frameworks, and support strategic decision-making across Finance, Tax, and HR. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Owning People Operations for Germany, covering the entire employee lifecycle including onboarding, offboarding, payroll, reporting, and HR administration
  • Managing onboarding processes: create employee profiles in Personio, coordinate IT setup via ticketing, and ensure smooth first-day experiences
  • Overseeing offboarding procedures in coordination with IT , including resignations, terminations, reference letters, and unemployment certificates
  • Maintaining structured workflows for onboarding and offboarding to ensure compliance and consistency
  • Handling monthly payroll for all German entities, including processing bonus overviews and calculating monthly accruals
  • Providing payroll-related reporting and HR analytics for Accounting, FP&A, and Tax departments, including support for audits

To succeed in this role you:

  • hold a Bachelors and/or Masters degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business Administration, Management, Human Resources etc.)
  • have relevant work experience in People Operations, Human Resource Management, People Analytics
  • show intrigue to set up global processes, policies, optimizations and automations
  • have a clear understanding of German labor law, HRIS, and payroll systems
  • experience in Excel, Personio is a plus
  • fluency in German and English required
