Are you looking for an opportunity to start a career in the People function? We are offering a six-month contract for a junior role to support our People Business Partner in Cork, covering Ireland, UK and the Channel Islands. This six-month placement as a People Officer would give you the opportunity to build broad knowledge and capability in the areas of employee relations, engagement and management support.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Supporting the People Business Partner with management of employee relations cases and delivery of effective management support, including direct communication with employees, managers and third parties as needed;
  • Managing the timely communication of updates to relevant people for allocated work;
  • Preparing and submitting occupational health referrals and insurance claims with support from the People Business Partner as needed;
  • Supporting the People Business Partner with the resolution of employee queries in a timely manner, signposting and educating where needed;
  • Supporting the timely and accurate provision of data for monthly payroll;
  • Supporting the preparation, review and updating of guidance for employees and managers;
  • Supporting the preparation of People data reports when required;
  • Updating and maintaining accurate employee records;
  • Liaising with and supporting (alongside the People Business Partner) the People Service administrators allocated to Ireland, UK, Jersey and Guernsey.
  • Providing general support for the People Business Partner as needed to enable effective People support for operational teams;
  • Other tasks as may be required from time to time.
