Join us and help build the AI-powered world of tomorrow. About the role: We are looking for an People Ops Manager based in Athens to manage and develop people operations for our Greek team. This role combines hands-on People operations with process ownership. You will work closely with leadership to ensure that contracts, onboarding, payroll coordination, and employee processes run smoothly while helping build a strong team culture. This is a foundational People role, giving you ownership over how people operations are structured and executed locally. Payroll, accounting, and legal compliance are managed in collaboration with external accounting and legal partners, allowing the People Ops Manager to focus on company communications, coordination, employee experience, and operational excellence. What you will do: Design, implement, and continuously improve core People processes, ensuring their adoption through proactive communication, documentation, and structured execution. Manage employment contracts and HR documentation in compliance with Greek labor legislation Coordinate payroll processes with external accountants and payroll providers Lead employee onboarding and offboarding, ensuring a smooth employee experience Support performance tracking and People processes (goal setting, feedback cycles, documentation) Organize internal team events and culture initiatives to strengthen team engagement Maintain HR records and ensure compliance with local labor regulations Support recruitment processes when needed (coordination, candidate experience, interview logistics) What you will need: 4–7+ years of experience in HR generalist or People operations roles Solid understanding of Greek labor law and employment practices Experience managing HR administration, contracts, and payroll coordination Strong organizational skills, structured thinking and attention to detail Excellent communication skills and confidence working with leadership and employees Ability to work independently and proactively in a growing environment Fluency in Greek and English Nice to have: Experience in technology, SaaS, consulting, or startup environments Previous exposure to recruitment or talent acquisition Experience coordinating with external payroll or legal partners Interest in modern HR technologies and digital tools Comfortable using AI tools to improve productivity and streamline HR workflows What is there for you: Competitive salary: upper quartile of the Greek market Location: Athens-based role with hybrid flexibility Ownership: manage and shape People Operations for the Greek team Stability: part of a 12-year established engineering company Growth: opportunity to develop into a broader People Operations leadership role as the company scales Culture: collaborative environment with high autonomy and low hierarchy
