Working together is important to us, therefore central to this position is the ability to work in partnership with colleagues and their representatives to author new and revised People Policy documents and guidance notes.
Effective communication skills are essential to ensure policy and guidance documents are engaging, easily understood and accessible. You will lead engagement with staff and Trade Union representatives ensuring our People Policies are compliant with employment legislation, reflect the Agency’s culture and support colleagues aspirations.
You will work closely with colleagues in the People Team to develop new, innovative ways of delivering People Policy updates and assessing policy impact.
A good knowledge and understanding of employment legislation, combined with the ability to translate this into effective policy and guidance documents is required.
In addition to leading the development of People Policies, you will lead formal consultation with Forestry Trade Unions Scotland and provide support to allocated projects and other aspects of service delivery. We are a small team therefore flexibility and a willingness to work across all areas of the team is essential.
