The Role As the People Process Manager, you will play a central role in shaping CEL's organizational culture and ensuring operational efficiency aligned with global best practices. You will strengthen recruitment, compliance, performance management, and staff well-being, designing processes that are people-centred, transparent, and responsive to the needs of a dynamic, mission-driven environment. You will partner with CEL’s leadership, scientific, and field teams to build sustainable HR frameworks and drive institutional excellence at every level. Your work will include: • Work closely with the Director of Administrative Systems to refine recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to attract and support world-class talent. • Ensure compliance with all relevant labour laws, certification, and institutional HR standards in line with CEL’s governance policies. • Develop, implement, and monitor performance management and staff development processes, including 360° reviews and capacity-building programs. • Manage compensation, benefits, payroll, and HR documentation with integrity and confidentiality. • Support leadership and managers with workforce planning, team structuring, conflict resolution, and change management. • Foster a diverse, inclusive, and positive workplace culture through policies, training, engagement activities, and welfare initiatives. • Coordinate administrative systems, ensuring seamless HR operations in collaboration with finance, program, and field teams. • Advise management on legal, policy, and compliance risk mitigation. Education/Experience • You have a postgraduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. • You bring at least 5 years’ progressive HR experience, ideally in the non-profit, development, research, or health sectors. • You possess strong knowledge of Indian labour laws, HR compliance frameworks, and best practices. • You are proactive and solutions-oriented, demonstrating excellence in communication, problem-solving, and team management. • You have experience building and implementing HR systems in growing, multi-site organizations. • You are passionate about people development, organizational growth, and mission-focused work.
