We're reimagining the way care is delivered in rural and underserved communities. Convergence health is currently hiring for a Per Diem Cath Lab RN. The Cath Lab will counsel, direct, and evaluate the performance of Cath Lab staff members to ensure the consistent delivery of safe, appropriate, high-quality nursing care, ensure efficient patient flow, and collaborate with medical providers to ensure and maintain the overall quality of each patient’s care. Primary Responsibilities: 1. Manages Cath Lab 2. Assists nurses in providing care to patients. 3. Communicate regularly with the Director of Surgery/Chief Nursing Officer regarding nurse performance, staff dynamics, and changes in treatment protocols. 4. Safely and independently administers prescribed treatments, medications, and nursing interventions based on patient assessments and care plans. 5. Remains calm under pressure; quickly and effectively delegates staff responsibilities during busy shifts and emergencies. 6. Ensures an adequate inventory of medical supplies is always available. 7. Independently evaluates and monitors the effectiveness of interventions and the progress toward desired patient outcomes. 8. Demonstrate leadership at the clinical point of care. 9. Log care statistics into a healthcare database. 10. Actively promotes an environment conducive to positive professional practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, and patient and staff safety. Benefits Overview: Eligible for 401k plan after 60 days of employment Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: · Physically demanding, high-stress environment · Exposure to blood and body fluids, sharp instruments and other devices, communicable diseases, chemicals, and repetitive motions · Full range of body motion, including handling and lifting instrument trays · Manual and finger dexterity · Hand and eye coordination · Sitting, standing, and walking for extensive periods · Lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds · Corrected vision and hearing to within normal range Requirements Required: · Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. · Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state. · Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications. · Minimum of two (2) years of previous experience in surgery nursing. · Knowledge of nursing staff methods, retention, recruitment, and finance. · Proven ability to maintain professional conduct and confidentiality in the care of patients. · Previous experience using healthcare data software. · Demonstration of basic computer skills. · Excellent leadership and organizational skills. · Willingness and ability to work weekends, weeknights and holidays. Preferred: · Minimum of one (1) year of previous experience as a Charge Nurse or equivalent leadership in surgery · Previous experience working in an outpatient surgical center. · Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN). · Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency and in-depth knowledge of healthcare data software. · Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. · Enthusiasm for joining a brand new, state-of-the-art healthcare facility that will make high-quality surgical care even more accessible to the residents of the surrounding area · Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
