An Administrative Supervisor is a Registered Nurse who works with a diverse group of professionals and functions within the Nursing Organizational structure. The Administrative Supervisor is involved in every aspect of the care delivery system. He/She has responsibilities to plan, direct, control, coordinate and implement policies and procedures, and/or programs relative to unit operations and nursing services.   The Administrative Supervisor is responsible for management of assigned unit(s) off tours, acts as an Administrative liaison between Administrator on-call and the staff; related to nursing service problems on assigned weekends, holidays and off tours.        Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Education Required: Graduate of accredited school of Nursing.                                                              Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred. Master’s degree in Nursing or closely related degree preferred. 1. License(s) Required: Licensed and currently registered as a professional nurse in New York State. 1. Experience/Skills Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience including one year in a leadership position.  Required:  Course in Nursing specialty and supervision.  Demonstrated competence as a nursing practitioner.  BLS, ACLS, are required certification within (3) months of employment.
