Join us in building on our success as one of New York best hospitals. Seeking a per diem Occupational Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of work experience in a hospital acute care setting. The ideal candidate will join a team of MDs, RNs, PTs, SLPs, TR, and SW with a strong interdisciplinary approach to treat a caseload of predominantly post-surgical spine patients, post-stroke, and medicine patients. In this role, the Occupational Therapist will evaluate, plan, and provide treatment programs for patients whose injury, disease, or loss of body part interferes with daily functioning. Provide skilled intervention using a variety of techniques that are appropriate for achieving the identified goals. You'll have the opportunity to work in adult acute care. Work with a dynamic, experienced staff, caring for a diverse population. The shift for this per diem position is 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., for weekdays with the possibility of occasional weekend and holiday coverage. Preferred: Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) Certification. AOTA Membership. Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. New York State Occupational Therapy License. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification. Minimum of two years of hospital-based acute care experience as a practicing Occupational Therapist.
