Per Diem Occupational Therapy Assistant COTA Department: Therapy Employment Type: Flexible Location: Chelsea, MI Compensation: $32.56 - $36.40 / hour Description $2500 Sign-On Bonus (per diem; requires meeting minimum hours per agreement) Schedule: Three (3) shifts per calendar month | Regularly covering weekend shifts is expected | Two (2) holidays per year. The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) assists in providing rehabilitative services to the elderly with mental, physical, emotional, or developmental impairments. Key Responsibilities Works under the direction of occupational therapists to plan, implement, or administer programs that restore or enhance performance in individuals with functional impairments. Monitors patients' performance in therapy activities and provides encouragement. Assists in instructing patients and families in home programs, basic living skills, or the care and use of adaptive equipment. Observes and records patients' progress, attitudes, and behavior and maintains this information in client records. Reports to supervisors on patients' progress, attitudes, and behavior.
