Description Per Diem / On-Call Pharmacist The Per Diem Pharmacist reports to the Pharmacist-in-Charge/Pharmacy Manager and supports daily pharmacy operations. Requirements BS or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy Active pharmacist license in good standing with the state Board of Pharmacy Successful completion of internship requirements and NAPLEX (and state law exam) Ability to pass background checks (criminal, Medicare exclusion, fingerprinting) Preferred: 3–5 years of retail, independent, or clinical pharmacy experience Key Skills Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment Proficiency with pharmacy software and third-party billing (or willingness to learn) Solid knowledge of medications, dosing, interactions, and counseling Ability to perform basic pharmacy math Responsibilities Review, verify, and dispense prescriptions accurately Counsel patients on prescription and OTC medications Supervise and support pharmacy staff as needed Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations (HIPAA, DEA, etc.) Maintain inventory, workflow, and a clean, safe pharmacy environment Work Environment Retail pharmacy setting; standing and lifting up to 25 lbs required Flexible scheduling, including coverage for vacations, sick days, and peak needs English required; Spanish a plus
