Job Description Assists Physical Therapists in their treatment of patients. Prepares patients for treatment. Maintains department in a clean and orderly fashion. Job Responsibility * * Assists Physical Therapists in their treatment of patients * Prepares patients for treatment, as directed. * Transports patients to and from department. * Assists patients in dressing and undressing. * Assembles and places equipment and supplies for use. * Places patients in position for treatment and assists in transfers. * Assists PT in giving paraffin treatments, applying hot packs, assists patients in and out of whirlpool and hubbard tank, and guards patients in ambulation. * Assists patients to bathroom. * * Assists professional staff in ordering supplies. Orders linens and maintains linen closet in a neat and orderly fashion. * * Maintains equipment and working area in clean and orderly condition. * * Performs a variety of duties essential to the function of the department such as taking messages, performing messenger duties, attending in-service training, etc. * * Transports equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds, as necessary. * * Assists O.T workshop, as required. * Performs related duties as required. *ADA Essential Functions Job Qualification * High School Diploma or equivalent, required. * Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent certification within the first three (3) months from Date of Hire, required. * Prior patient care experience, required. * Ability to communicate effectively. *Additional Salary Detail The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
